Laura Sturmer, ND, MPH

Dr. Laura Sturmer (formerly Cotton) practices from the belief that we each embody inherent health and an innate capacity for healing. Her work centers on empowering individuals to cultivate healthy relationships within themselves and their bodies through a personalized approach grounded in deep listening and respect. She understands dis-ease as complex and intertwined with lived experience, environment, relationships, and the communities we move within and is committed to creating a safe, collaborative and compassionate clinical space. She believes healing begins to unfold when we are witnessed.

Originally from Canada, Dr. Laura began her career in biomedical and socio-behavioural research, before earning her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. Following graduation, she worked at Advanced Medical Therapies in Seattle, Washington under the mentorship of Dr. Paul Anderson providing comprehensive nutritional education and advanced IV therapies to support in the treatment of complex chronic illness.

Dr. Laura's clinical interests include women's health, endocrine dysfunction, digestive health, blood sugar dysregulation, stress and anxiety, sleep health, nutritional wellbeing, embodied living and general wellbeing. She has additional training in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, whole foods nutrition, IV therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, gemmotherapy, homeopathy, flower essences, and is also a certified yoga instructor.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr Laura enjoys connecting with loved ones, spending time in nature, hiking, cuddling with her pup, practicing yoga, enjoying home cooked meals, traveling, and above all, laughing.
